DsbG has disulfide bond isomerase and chaperone activity. DsbG interacts with refolding intermediates of chemically denatured citrate synthase and prevents their aggregation in vitro. DsbG shares sequnce homology with DsbC. DsbG forms a stable periplasmic dimer and displays an equilibrium constant with glutathione comparable with DsbA and DsbC. DsbG is expressed at roµghly 25% level of DsbC. |
