Tetrahydrobiopterin, is a necessary cofactor and regulator of a range of enzyme activities, including enzymes involved in serotonin biosynthesis and NO synthase activity. Mutations in 6-PyruvoylTetrahydropterin Synthase gene result in hyperphenylalaninemia. |
